Many questions that we get at the Blue Earth County Historical Society have answers on our website. Here are a list of the most popular questions and their answers.

Q. What are your hours?
A. The History Center is open Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The R. D. Hubbard House is open May through September. In May and September, the Hubbard House is open Saturdays and Sundays 1-4 p.m. In June, July and August, the Hubbard House is open Fridays and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays 1-4 p.m.

Q. Do you do special tours through the History Center or Hubbard House?
A. BECHS does do special tours through the Hubbard House and History Center. For more information about scheduling a tour, please see the tours webpage.

Q. How do I rent the Hubbard House Park for my event?
A. We ask that you fill out the Hubbard House Park rental form and return it with your payment to the History Center. The form can be found on our rental webpage.

Q. Can I take pictures in the Museum or the Hubbard House? 
A. We do not allow photography in the Museum or the Hubbard House. 

Q. How do I contact the Research Center to look up my family members?

Q. How do I donate items to your collection? 
A. For more information about donating items to the Blue Earth County Historical Society, please see the collections webpage's Question and Answer page. We do require that all items donated be from or used by people in Blue Earth County.

Q. I am looking for just one obituary, will that cost me the $30.00 research fee? 
A. No. At BECHS we have a pro-rated fee for our research requests. Although the fee will vary by how long the request takes to fill and the amount of pages copied, generally one obituary will only cost about $5.00. Please wait to hear back from the research center before sending us money to ensure the correct amount is sent.
